Grant Writing Support
& Portfolio Development

I’m glad you’re here.

Navigating the world of proposals, grants, and funding can feel overwhelming, especially when faced with complex applications, tight deadlines, and the fear of rejection. As a grant writing consultant specializing in supporting artists working in Canada, I’m here to help you navigate those barriers.

I understand the unique challenges artists face when seeking financial support for their creative projects. My approach to consulting is rooted in care, collaboration, and a deep respect for your vision. Whether you’re new to grant writing or looking to refine your proposals, I offer a non-judgmental, supportive space to help you craft compelling applications that reflect the heart of your work.

Let’s turn the funding process into an opportunity to tell your story, celebrate your art, and bring your creative dreams to life.

Commitment to principles of Anti-Oppression and Disability Justice

I navigate the world of grant writing and arts institutions the same way I do in all areas of my life, as a white, settler, neurodivergent, mad, and almost always tired person. I’m acutely aware of both the immense privileges, and barriers these identities present in my life. I’m also aware that historically, and in present day, art institutions in canada have a brutal and shameful record of upholding and replicating systems of oppression including but not limited to racism, colonialism, ableism, classism, capitalism, and white supremacy. In simple terms, opportunities for artists at all career stages continue to be distributed in ways that are inequitable, inaccessible, and unjust.

In acknowledgement of this fact, I am committed to the following practices:

  1. Sliding Scale Pricing. I offer sliding scale pricing on all services, available for artists and creatives who are Black, Indigenous, a Person of Color, 2SLGBTQIA+, low-income, Disabled, Crip, and/or Chronically Ill. Sliding scale prices are available upon request, and artists will never under any circumstances be required to disclose personal information or provide proof of identity in order to access.

  2. Working on crip time. I respect and understand that folks may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment at the last minute and with no warning. No cancellation fee will apply in the case of a last minute cancellation.

  3. Digital Accessibility. I strive for all online consulting-related resources and communications to be clear, succinct, and readable for all audiences. This includes screen-reader friendly sentence structure and formatting, alt-text and image descriptions for all visuals, high contrast text and background, and the use of plain language.
